Dealing with agents
Without TLC
• It can be difficult finding
the right agent for a particular celebrity
• An agent's client is the artist, so its little surprise
that they want to make the largest fee for them
- therefore agents can be:
- Hard to negotiate with - especially when you have so little leverage in a one off usage situation
- Having no knowledge of market rates puts you at risk of not knowing whether the fees you are quoted are reasonable or not
• Agents won't tell you the downside to their client for example their celebrity may be incredibly difficult to work with
• An agent's main aim is to get their client TV/film or theatre engagements. Your photo call often isn't that important to them so you'll end up at the bottom of their priority list
• Agents have little obligation to provide a replacement in the event that your celebrity has to pull out at the last minute
With TLC
• We deal with agents every day
and hold active relationships with many of the
top agents and management companies
• We're highly experienced in negotiating fees and contracts
• We often know the star well enough to negotiate directly
• Because
we put continuous business through agents we're able
to leverage our buying power to deliver exceptional discounts
• Having an up-to-date knowledge of market rates means you never pay over the odds
